God’s Artwork

Driving today, I noticed for the first time in a while the beauty of such a vast blue sky, and the awesomeness of the color, shape and design of the trees. I pondered God’s creation and the magnificent beauty He chose for us to enjoy as our surroundings. His color and work are all around us, and so often we are not paying attention, or even considering the blessing of even being able to see.

When art is displayed in various form, mankind may view the material used and think success at the creation of the color. How much more peaceful the world would be, if all of mankind could meet the original artist whose canvas we are all being brushed upon. They would understand that the colors we paint with are a borrowed form of Gods beautiful design.

When pride takes control of our life or our situations, how blinded are we from seeing beyond ourselves to enjoy Gods creation. Depression digs deeper turning the core of ones being into shame, shame births un-forgiveness which harbors anger. Anger births decisions that continue the cycle, and in our comfort of slowly killing ourselves with sadness, we mask our true identity and continue to hide from the world. In our minds we think we are hiding from God.

One event, word, or action can change a person’s life whether positively or negatively. A kind hello or a smile could save someone’s life. Telling your child he is an idiot could impact the rest of theirs. How sensitive and fragile God created us as human beings, how desperately we need the Love and blood of Jesus to wash away our hurts, illuminate our path, and guide us out of this darkness that leads us away from Him!

Become a beautiful part of his masterpiece by surrendering your portion of the canvas back to Him! Jesus will erase your broken mess and paint you right into His paradise that we so often are unable to see! It will then become clear that you do not have to paint the world around you, because you have already been a part of Gods beautiful work of art, that He began painting long ago.

Isaiah 49:14-16New International Version (NIV)

14 But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me,
the Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.
